Reviewing after 7 years of using. It's still working fine. Only problem faced recently is driver need to be updated by searching manually. Internet was too slow without updating the driver which I got from Asus.Now it's working fine. Wayona should launch 5Ghz version Wifi adapter with bluetooth.

My PC runs windows-7, i5 CPU. To use on Windows 7 and above you don't need any additional drivers. After inserting the dongle, it will automatically install the drivers and the WiFi Icon will appear through which you can connect to your wifi hotspot. This product being used by me in my Desktop PC for two and half years. In the beginning it used to connect automatically but now a days I have to type WiFi password everytime to connect. The password is not remembered even though the device locates and lists the WiFi source. Further very often it does not connect at all even after punching the WiFi password. I have to take out this device from the USB port and insert in another port and try again. The manufacturer, please help

It works well on my Win 8 without any hiccups. Range is full 5 bars at 10 feet from my router with a wall in between (claimed indoor range is 100m). I see that it can serve as a wifi receiver and hotspot at the same time although I have not tried this option yet.However, there is one big glitch. the maximum speed is only 54Mbps and not 150Mbps as advertised for the 802.11n version. I feel cheated. I don't feel that it is the fault of amazon though as they delivered the device they showed. It's the manufacturer who is to be blamed for giving the lower speed.I have emailed the manufacturer and raised the issue multiple times, but yet to hear from them. It is a clear case of fraud. Not many people will notice that they have been supplied with an inferior device (in the skin of a better one) as they won't notice the difference with normal usage. The manufacturer wants to earn quick bucks rather than a customer's trust seems!I have given 1 star only for this reason. I was searching for reviews on good Wifi Adapters last week but wasn't able to find good reviews on a product that had several 5 star ratings but zero reviews. I said to myself, 'Why do people buy a product and rate it without providing useful feedback for other interested buyers?-.-' That's when I realised I was one of those people! I decided to start rating all the products that I've used so far, so here's my first review on a shipment I received today!This Wifi adapter is pretty neat and comes with an installation CD. I was filing for a replacement as I thought Amazon forgot to provide the CD but my cousin opened the tiny package and there it was... a tiny CD!The installation is so simple, you could ask your pet monkey to do it! :1. Insert the program disc into your computer's disc drive or tray, label side up2. You'll be prompted to open the file, click on it3. Select Android/MAC/Windows setup based on the device you're using4. Click the option to run Install or Setup5. Let it do its thing, just 'accept user agreement' blah blah, click on 'finish setup'6. Now place your Wifi Adapter into one of the USB ports7. Your computer will auto-detect available networks so click on the SSID that uniquely names your WLAN. If you're 89, it could be 'this button, grandma' and if you have a 15 year old son, it's probably 'Bryans batcave'8. Click 'connect' and enter your Network Security Key when prompted. Then click 'OK'9. Voilà! Internet smoother than the cream cheese spread on your bagel. Worked fine for a week then it became unstable, can't play HD video on YouTube. Something is disconnected.
