Great custom tank...
This is my 3rd Fluval Flex. I have had a black Fluval Flex 15 and a black 32.5 for years. I found two of my community fish were getting picked on by the others and so decided to move them to their own tank. So this white one and its matching stand were purchased. The tank arrived completely undamaged although not the greatest packaging for shipping. I put this tank on the newly assembled stand made for it and it looks great! I am currently using the filter foam it comes with and have a 2nd one installed in the empty chamber. Eventually, Ill be installing filter baskets in the two chambers instead of the original foam. I like to use lots of filter media and angel hair so the baskets work better as filters. The pump fits into an end chamber and provides a good deal of current that can be directed by two spigots. Since this tank isn't real big, youll be unlikely to not find a way to aim the outputs to your best spotsSeveral people here and on other net stores will also sell you 3D printed spraybars to spread out the flow even more and get more water surface movement without making strong streams. While spraybars can be harder to clean, they usually are better for calmer lower current waters for fish that are small or those who arent good at swimming in stronger currents. You can also use plants or rocks to slow down the current streams too.The huge sponge included is great for filtering most debri. On the larger foam opening, youll usually want some sort of biological rings or porus material. The smaller opening in the foam is great for a thin carbon pack and or a Purigen pack. You get some Fluval media with the tank but you'll want to buy more. The sponge and biological media will eventually become saturated with beneficial bacteria. So, only rinse these foams out in water yaken from the tank during water changes or in water treated with antichlor. Never use your tap water to rinse them or the chlorine in the tap water will kill the beneficial bacteria. Your carbon packs can be replaced and your Purigen replaced or recharged. Youll know your filter foam os beginning to clog when the end chamber with the pump has a mich lower water level than the filters. Plan on cleaning rhe foam about every 2 weeks or more often if your tank is dirty. If you add chemicals to your tank water, get used to doing so in the end chamber where the pump is. If you use a bacteria starter chemical, pour it directly on top of the sponge and let it go through the sponge. This will speed up the bacteria colonization needed for a cycled tank.In the same end chamber your pump sits in, you may also add other accessories like heaters or remote thermometers. Some people like to put in air stone here to increase the oxygen levels without being seen in the tank. There is also a honeycomb patterned screen around the top and rear sides of the tank. This helps hide the waterline at the top of the tank and mineral deposits. It can be removed carefully with a razor blade if you hate it. But it really does improve and hide the appearance of some things you generally dont want to see, especially as the tank ages and deposits become more a part of the glass. You also will probably want to have or buy a couple of prop sticks for propping the lid open. Youll need to remove the lid entirely to service the filter foam There is a punch panel in the back top you can punch out for more air and visibility or to add a small in tank accessory . Once you remove it though, its gone for good. Theres also a small feeding hole in the lid top front.Because the lid is fully seated, its great for keeping jumpers in the tank. It also slows tank evaporation into your room as it will condensate on the cover underneath instead of evaporate. On the back of the lid, its got a raised area to let your air hoses or electrical cords to exitWith this kit you will still need to buy foods and gravel and decorations, and any optional baskets to replace the filter foam, and chemical water treatments and accessories like nets and maintenance devices. But you will be able to get started with the tank and have a couple of starter fish in it within a few days. You will also likely notice that the bow front can distort the view of the inside, depending on the angle you are viewing it. Generally it will look to have a slight magnifying effect. But youll get used to that. The sides are squared off and look like a normal tank. If you have the tank placed where you can view it from behind, youll be able to see whether the filter is becoming clogged or not.My first Fluval Flex 15 black, purchased several years ago, did not come with inlet covers so I had to buy 3D printed ones elsewhere. Youll only need to install these if you have small fish that could swim between the grates. My Fluval Flex 15 white i just purchased here already had two of them installed. If you want to raise tiny fry, youll need to stuff these covers with foams to keep the tiny fry out of your filter And be aware that bigger tougher fish can learn to pry off these covers. Ive got magicians of Kuhli Loaches that can pry them off far enough to get into the filters and live there. I can tell you getting a squigly little Kuhli Loach out of your Fluval Flex filter is almost impossible. If you have fish that dig or pry on things, you may want to glue the intake covers on.This tank is rimless. So dont put stress on the glass where the seams are. Be sure the tank is setting on a table or stand with no part of it off the stand. Use the rubbery mat surface that comes with the tank to be sure its supported at all places. Because its rimless, too much stress placed on one area of the glass could separate its seams in time or with vibration. Also some here have commented the pump vibrates loudly. It shouldnt if you install it right. Dont remove the suction cups it sits on. That keeps it from vibrating on the glass bottom. And stick it down with the suction cups so none of the pump itself rests against the glass. And when installing the pump, you may have to realign or turn the oitput tube so it goes straight up to the mount. Dont bend or twist this hose inside the chamber. Do it before you sink it to the bottom and youll have no vibration on the plastic parts.OK now enjoy your tank! Your fish will likely love their new home.

Favorite of all tanks!
I love the design of this tank, plus my fish seem to love it too. I have live plants growing happily under the built-in light. I especially appreciate the fact that the pump, carbon filters, etc. are hidden in the back, out of sight. The filtration works well and the tank is well constructed. It’s not a big tank, so be sure not to overstock with fish. I have three Cherry barbs, two Siamese algae eaters and two electric blue balloon rams (male and female). I probably could add one or two more small fish, but the current inhabitants seem happy as is. Highly recommend!

Lovely
So beautiful. Love the lights. My fish are loving it too. Like that the filter doesn't have to be filled with water each time I turn it back on after a water change. REALLY EASY to use.

Acclimate your tank for about a week before putting fish in it🤷🏻♀️

Great tank and experience from the seller, absolutely recommend for the niche
The media could not be loaded. Purchased this for my five year old niece for Christmas, I’ve kept and bred Mbuna Cichlids in much larger tanks and ultimately this will house a few shell-dwellers for her. It’s the perfect size for her nightstand, the included LED’s and filtration make for a super clean appearance, and she loves the remote control for the lighting. I did add some floss to the first baffled filter chamber for some additional mechanical filtration and also a heater in the pump chamber. I also directed the nozzles on the output of the pump to just barely disturb the surface tension on the water for some gas exchange, anything more than that resulted in more accumulated water on the bottom of the lid than I preferred, but as long as the lid is frequently opened this would never be any issue at all, it drips down cleanly with no leaks at all. The item was shipped promptly, packaged extremely well from the factory, zero issues at all with the seller. As of today, I’m extremely happy with this purchase!

I love the vibe & the lights are amazing !!!
My only complaint is the tank is growing algae at a fast rate so cleaning it will be constant! I’m not sure why because the water does stay clear it’s just on the glass & back wall & shows up a lot on the white back wall .. I do love the vibe of the style & I think it’s a good tank for only a couple of fish! I’m going to have to get a larger tank for the fish I got when I got this ... they are all thriving well in this tank & the light features are pretty awesome . I plan to get a Betta fish after I upgrade my size for my Goldfish that are growing at a super fast rate , my bad I should have just put 2 in there then it would have been plenty of room ! The filter is very quiet it honestly makes no noise! Very cool fish tank !!!

Good starter tank, not great
I do like the tanks look and the setup of the chambers is nice, but I can already tell the rear chambers are gonna get algead up ubless I throw some little air rocks to agitate the water. The light fixture is also has some cool features, except a day/night timer setting. Even if I get a timer this setup will only allow an on/off function, nothing with day or night lighting.

A beautiful large tank, great viewing
Beautiful Aquarium! I loved that you could see so clearly from different angles. The filter system is cool. My only problem was, I didn't realize how big it was going to be. It took up too much space on my counter. I realized I didn't need quite such a big tank and sized down to a 10 gal. But if you're looking for a 15 gal, this is a great tank
