Very straightforward to install and built like a tank. They have a new connector system that makes it really easy to line up the plumbing before fully tightening the unit into place, makes for a quick & easy replacement from the old crappy cheap one I originally put in. Should have saved the trouble and just bought this brand from the beginning.

read the directions very carefully and watch several installation videos. it was hard to work with the old house Romex solid copper wire as it is very stiff, so get it lined up correctly within the collar and bend it properly takes the right tools, particularly a good wire stripper. and in the videos it recommends using two screwdrivers to line up and turn the collar so that it falls into place. (and have some channel locks if necessary. Also, the unit itself is very heavy and it would be useful to have support for it, one video used a car jack for support. It is in a very tight place and you need all the help . . . .

You can tell it's a quality disposal as soon as you take it out the box. Installation was a pretty straight forward and I've been impressed with the quality. It's a powerful unit and really not too noisy.

Easy install to replace an existing Badger 500. This runs awesome and is quieter than the Badger 500 it replaced. I just reused the existing hardware where it mounts to the sink. The only bummer is the thing about the cord. I could not use the old cord from the old Badger 500 and needed to get a new cord for this model. Other than that, it is awesome.

This was ordered at the recommendation of my plumber as a replacement for an old unit that was leaking. I appreciate that it's a bit more powerful than my previous disposer, but I was hoping that in the 10 years since my last purchase of an InSinkErator product they would have made them quieter. It really seems to do a great job, but sometimes I'd swear my neighbors can hear it running, and any dishes in the sink or on the counter vibrate like crazy! Not a super big deal; I'm just happy to have one that works again.

Super silent and easy to install. Ease of replacement:Same brand replacement took me 15 min to replace.

The default pigtail connector was a total failure. I created a electrical outlet from the pigtail and used outlet package to connect the electrical and poof it worked great. The physical install of the unit was cake, super easy. This 3/4 horse power model replace an almost 20 year old 1 HP model that my wife dumped everything into.
