Old Trapper Peppered Beef Jerky (18 Ounce)

I'm picky about beef jerky - especially since my father used to make his own. The grocery store brands that are commonly found in NC are just not enjoyable to me for various reasons. I came across this brand at a local bait shop / convenience store and decided to give it a shot since the ingredients looked pretty minimal for a factory-packaged jerky.I was very impressed - so I bought more here on Amazon. And re-purchased it. To be fully transparent, it is not as good as ranch-smoked jerky; mass-packaging and food safety limitations make such a comparison unfair. But given those limitations, this is one of the best publicly-sold jerkies I've ever had.

It's Old Trapper... It isn't the healthiest jerky out there, but it's far from being unhealthy... It's dried meat, albeit with a few ingredients I'm not a huge fan of... At the end of the day though, you could do far worse. Are there healthier jerkies out there? Yes. Are they harder to find? Yes, much. Are they more expensive? Yes, much, much. At the end of the day, if you want a damn good jerky, that is pretty damn clean (but not totally), and you don't want to have to sell a limb to buy it, Old Trapper is your Huckleberry!

This is cheaper than the grocery price so but it at Amazon.

It's the best jerk I have ever had

Fantastic jerky! It's juicy and very peppery, but it's sweet too. Great texture and chew to it.It's pricey, but not inconsistent with the going price for beef jerky these days. It's a big bag,18 oz. That's something to bear in mind when looking at the cost. Check the price per ounce in comparison to other offers.This is a quality product.

To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent peppered flavor and texture. I will be purchasing this product again, guaranteed!! Buy it

Best jerky I’ve ever had! I love the sweet and the heat. The meat is so tender with no gristle whatsoever. Molto primo!!
