Sovol Metal Resin Tanks Vats Anodized Aluminium with FEP Pre-installed and 2 Lids, Resin Vat for ELEGOO Mars/Mars 2 Pro, Anycubic Photon/Photon S/Photon Mono 4K

I purchased the Sovol resin tank as I wanted an additional resin vat so that I did not have to keep swapping the resin as I use two or three types on a regular basis.The vat is only sold for the Elegoo Mars, Anycubic Photon and Photon S but after a quick email and very fast response I was told that it should fit the Mono as the indents for the securing screws are elongated to fit various machines. You can see this in the attached photo. The vat is slightly smaller in width than the original Mono vat, however the plate fits perfectly without any issues as you can see from the photo.The vat has an especially useful measuring marker in white against the black so you can see how much resin you have poured in. This is printed on so I cannot guarantee how long this will last, however its certainly better than nothing.Unlike the Mono vat this is a nice hefty alloy, not plastic. It has two rubber covers to put over the top and bottom of the vat. These have the dual purpose of both a UV blocker, so that any resin stored in the vat will not cure, as well as protection for the FEP so that it will not get scratched when put on a surface.The covers fit the original vat so can be used to protect the resin and FEP when that vat is not being used.The FEP is held in place with the standard two metal ring system and was perfectly tensioned. I tested this by performing a test print using one of my standard resins and a standard print which worked perfectly well. This print covers at least 60% of the plate so caused enough suction to test the FEP.Considering the price on Amazon UK for this vat is just £22.99 compared to a standard Anycubic replacement at £35.99 this a bargain.This certainly deserves five stars out of five as its as better than the original at two thirds of the price. Their customer service also seems measurably better than Anycubic.

Been stuck using the plastic vat that came with my printer, after applying a new film due to a puncture, it started to leak as the plastic frame has fractured and resin would slowly escape.Bought this metal vat, the build quality is much higher, higher sides to avoid sloshing or overflowing. Haven’t had a single issue with it. Definitely worth getting even if just for a spare as you never know when something will go wrong with your current one.

Sovol are normally great products and was hopeful on the build quality of this. It fits perfectly, solid, hopefully last longer than the standard vat tray that came with the printer. At first it was nice to see that it had really clear liquid levels marked out (white on black), compared to the original which were bevelled in and you couldn't see (black on black). But on it's first clean with alcohol, this all wiped off, so I have no clue as to levels now and no idea how to mark it - shame as this is fundamental and spoils the product.

Works great, super easy to work withDue to some incompetence on my part, the FEP on my anycubic photon mono had been pierced, and their proprietary FEP was only available from other countriesOrdered this, got it in about two weeks, opened it, put it right into the place of the old vat, put some resin in and presto, works like a charm.And the bonus is that the next time my FEP dies, i can easily replace it with a locally obtained one instead of having to wait a month to get the ones from anycubic

I brought the 2021 version of Solov £D's VAT for the elegoo Mars 2 a good few months ago and it has been a right work horse with the printer running 20 hours or more a day every day.Until I stupidly left a small amount of support on the flex plate which damaged the FEP, Rather than going back to the stock VAT whilst waiting for more FEP to arrive I carried on using the VAT and ordered this one.The fact I have just ordered another of these VATS when the other is still fully usable must say how happy I am with the product.And it comes with silicon cover to protect the FEP and a silicon lid, I leave resin in the VAT when using a different colour and just swap out the VATPros- Aluminium- Fill markers on the side- Cutout on side to aid with draining- Easy FEP replacement- Vat and FEP very hard wearing and can take some abuse- Silicon Top and BottomCons - Have to say something bad haven't I?- I'm a messy bugger and use some light coloured resins and well it makes it look dirty when I dont clean it as often as I should (so a choice of colours would be awesome).In all seriousness, this is an excellent replacment for the standard VATS on the Mars 2 and Mars 2 pro, and I think it will also fit other similar sized printers.

Poorly designed copy of the anycubic version. Replacing the fep is an absolute nightmare as the design is too deep. Avoid.

I was given a Photon Mono for Christmas, I could only find replacement FEPs on the Anycubic site. They weren't too expensive the shipping costs were really high. So I found this resin vat which:1) fits my Mono2) is made of higher quality materials (solid aluminium Vs plastic)3) has good availability for replacement FEPs4) costs less than 2 replacement FEPs and shipping from the official manufacturerI've done a few prints from it and have had no problems with them, and the covers are a really good idea.If you have a Mono, I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't get one if these.
