Device failed but great customer service
The inverter seems a quality item but after 3 months use in winter the inverter failed. Upon investigation the likely cause is a quality control issue that allowed the main live output cable to be in contact with the outer casing (see pictures).Upon contact with the supplier they have extremely responsive and have promised to ship a replacement item. I can’t praise them enough. All told I would definitely order another device from XXK as I have piece of mind that any issues will be swiftly dealt with.Once the replacement inverter arrives I will be checking the cabling but I suspect my issue will be a one off.I’ll update once me replacement arrives....Update - replacement inverter arrived as promised. Excellent service from XXK :)

Easy to install, works fine.
The inverter was delivered promptly and well packed. It appears to be well made, is simple to connect, and requires no setting up. The mounting brackets can easily be turned round if this simplifies installation. The supplied mains flex is quite short, and will in all likelihood need to be extended, using a waterproof connector if outside. I simply unsoldered the original cable and soldered on a new one. Once connected to solar panels and mains, it quietly gets on with its job. It gets quite warm in use, and to prolong its life I would suggest a location where it will not be exposed to high temperatures.

Brilliant. Grid-tie your solar panels with ease!
This is a fantastic bit of kit. It feels well made and sturdy. The casing is all metal so heat can dissipate quickly, leading to even greater efficiency. I'm getting great results with my solar panels (4x290Watt) which connect straight into this inverter - no re-wiring necessary if you have the luxury of space. It's quiet, even when running in full daylight and comes with decent mounting bolts. This inverter is definitely worth the money, so far I can't fault it!

So far so good
I have had this now for 4 months from Jan. The performance is excellent. Under ideal sun and temp conditions I have observed almost 98% performance from my 4 x 300W panels so this device works well.My panels are OpenCtt nominally 37V i.e just standard 300W panels I would say this would work well with any 250W+ panel no problem. As with all GridTied inverters they don't work unless the DC voltage is >the threshold for them to start up which for this is >24V ideally >30V in my experience. Then they need to be connected to the UK Power grid so they can measure the AC voltage and freq so they can generate a slightly higher voltage which is why they supply your house first and why any excess power flows out to the grid as the voltage (pressure) they produce is slightly higher than the national grid electricity. Anyway it works great so far. When the sun goes down the device stops working and goes into a sort of sleep mode so there's no LED indications when the DC is not >24V so if you test and plug the device into the grid expecting to see LED you won't see anything until the DC voltage from the panels wakes it up as the device shows no indications until the solar panels are providing sufficient voltages. The reason I say this is that I thought my inverter was broken when I plugged it in, in my kitchen and saw no LED. But as soon as you connect the Solar panels it wakes up and the LED goes green after a short while.Good product.
