Purchased as a gift for a friend, it went down well and was hung quickly so I'm taking it that it was well liked. Not received an update on whether it has attracted any butterflies yet. I added some wildflower seeds to the gift.

Not had any butterflies in this thing or anything for that matter. The base of the box is now rotting. A waste of money.

What's the point?
Doesn't come with a horizontal pole in its roof, nor is it possible to put one in without prying the whole thing open which I haven't bothered to do. Every wooden wildlife box I have bought for a richly yielding garden have proven useless and this is no exception
