Beautiful motherboard and fairly speedy
I bought this model for one simple thing: PURPLEI realise that this motherboard has a 'Marmite ' effect on people but it really seems to pull it off with me.Attention to detail and quality seems to be there with a 14+!+! phases and it does keep VRM temperatures under control-this is in part due to the large VRM heatsinks and no silly ARGB lighting in this area of the motherboard. The Asrock LiveMixer does allow for 5x NVME m.2 slots but oddly enough you can only use 4 at the same time. To make matters more puzzling is that the one single M.2 5.0 slot if one occupies that then it will slow down the first PCIE slot from 16x to 8x so renders in suitable for this.To make matters even more perplexing is that by occupying the 5.0 m.2 slot then it disables the one next to it so why offer this facility at all? But I think this is an issue for the z790 chipset at this budget range and even the more costly onesThe Bios setup on this is both wonderful to behold and intuitive to use.Quality of components is there on the board and the design of it just screams 'I am for creative people'If you buy a waterblock for this motherboard or even a large heatsink just please be aware that there is not much clearance around the CPU socket to the VRM heatsinks.Pros:Creative colours and designROCK SOLID and reliablenot many ARGB leD'S (only a small strip on the front end)Fantastic BIOSQuite a few fan headersRGB and ARGB headers (for those that like that sort of thing)Well presentedCons:Watch out for CPU area Clearanceusing the m.2 NVME 5X slot slows down your graphics cardnot many accessories.
