Love conquers evil in this great story. Ben and Sam unsure about themselves but clearly in love and that love overcoming Annie and Robert's evil plan to blackmail them.

Sam and Ben were separated by work and travel, they were best friends who fell in love, but never acted on it. Sam returns to Los Angeles and meets Ben again and the sparks are still there. Ben will write an article on a retreat where they can be themselves and this time have the courage to save their love. Unfortunately, the fly in the ointment is one of the owners wants to blackmail Ben and that is the story that really brings them together by working out how they will do a take down. Very exciting dialogue, and sexy scenes that titilate the senses. Every single book title that is mentioned at the end of the book, I have read and loved. I wish I was able to give it at least a million stars in ratings, it was that wonderful.

Absolut liebenswerte Protagonisten, ehrliche Gefühle, authentische Entwicklungen - die Bücher von Sean Ashcroft machen Spaß ohne oberflächlich zu sein. Ein klitzekleiner Stern Abzug, weil die Rahmenhandlung manchmal ein bisschen "schwach auf der Brust" ist, aber es geht ja schließlich um die Beziehung - und da stimmt alles!

This book is about Ben, whom we met in Cocky and I was very much looking forward to his story. He deserved his own HEA. That comes when his best friend, Sam, returns to LA. Scarred and self-conscious after an accident Sam is not the confident man he once was. Ben has his own baggage from the past. When they reconnect they discover their attraction is very much alive.I loved how Ben and Sam work on making their relationship work this time. Yes, they have their insecurities and doubts, partly from the past and partly from the present, but they talk. There are no misunderstandings or walking-aways. They learned from past mistakes and now grab their second chance at love. Even being blackmailed (which was an unexpected twist) can’t come between them. You can feel the chemistry and love.

I am a sucker for all of Sean's book and Ballsy us no exception!!! It's about a second chance that Ben and Sam get. I usually don't like second chances book but I totally fell hard for this one. Sam and Ben are honest with each other for the first time in ten years and are able to grow a relationship out of that honesty. That is my favorite part of the book that the characters are so honest with each other there is no missed connection or misunderstandings. Each character is rooting for the other which makes it really easy to root for them. I would highly recommended this book!!
