If you are just making cookies to leave in the break room at work, use the cheap fake vanilla. If you are making creme brulee for a party, (or another dessert for a special occasion) use this. Vanilla bean paste is expensive, but for serious bakers, it's well worth it. Completely different than the artificial stuff.

This is wonderful. A cousin had recommended it to me to try in recipes. It is just a wee bit more intense than regular vanilla extract. I love it and would purchase again!

This is certainly a new way of getting vanilla flavor into your baking. Am not sure that I'm totally happy with the inclusion of so much sweetness along with the essence of vanilla. The consistency is somewhat similar to honey, but not quite as thick. I was surprised at how sticky sweet it is, as well as the need to be cleaning up the sweet residue.It's something I'm going to have to experiment with a fast as how much is needed to add flavor to various recipes. It feels like I am learning a whole new ingredient, versus the consistency of old school vanilla extract in a small bottle.

I use this as a coffee sweetener. It is perfect ! Subtly sweet without 123 ingredients ! Love the vanilla flavor. Try it !

I tried other vanilla bean pastes and keep coming back to this. Nothing comes close.

The flavor is good but it's not a thick paste- it is like syrup. Don't open it so it spills on your lap like I did!
