Replacement Battery Li-ION Battery Compatible with Philips Norelco Shaver 8200XL Series

I love my Norelco 8270XL, so when it would no longer hold a charge, I started looking for a replacement. When I saw that a lithium ion battery was available, I decided to buy and install it. Basic soldering skills and a few small tools were necessary, but my Norelco 8720XL is back in business! No issues with charging my Norelco with the new battery.I cannot comment on the longevity of the new battery, but so far it’s working like it did when I got it new.

TL;DR - Battery worked great for 3-4 months, stopped holding charge, support was not willing to help and kept putting the issue back on me. Don't buy this battery, they have terrible support!I installed this battery in my Oral B toothbrush. It took some work with soldering and knowing which parts had to come apart for the replacement but it is doable if you have a soldering iron and some wire solder. And at first, it was great and worked well. But less than 3-4 months later, the battery stopped holding any charge and the toothbrush wouldn't start anymore. I tried re-soldering it, changing the charger, and nothing worked. I reached out to their support to get help but they kept trying to say that I was not troubleshooting it correctly and that it's my charger that's dysfunctional (it's not because my partner uses another Oral B toothbrush and it charges it just fine).When I asked if they could provide me with a replacement or refund, they stopped responding and just didn't want to help. So if you want a battery that can last more than 3-4 months, especially after going through all the trouble to replace it in the first place, and have good warranty support from the company, I'd recommend skipping this product.

Purchased this to replace the 14mm x 49mm 3.6v Li-ION battery in my Phillips Norelco 8240XL. The battery came charged with 3.8V on the leads. Metal tabs fit perfectly one the old battery was removed.Once the battery was replaced I had to plug in the charger before the shaver worked and showed lights.

Replacing the battery on an older Norelco was a bit tricky. These long leads were actually a plus when jerry-rigging the battery. Perfect fit and now my razor runs like new.

Norelco OEM battery had lost significant capacity so I replaced with this one. Initial performance was kind of disappointing, as it wasn't significantly better than the weak OEM battery, but I could still use the shaver. Six weeks later the shaver completely failed and would not charge or operate. I can't say for sure if it was related to the battery swap. Since Norelco OEM replacement batteries are not available, I will replace the shaver instead of doing a battery swap in the future.

After a few charges, the battery is dead and no longer rechargeable.

The battery works great. The metal tabs were too wide, so I had to cut the longwise before the would fit in the shaver control board. Since this is a very hands on replacement, I'm not sure that will be an obstacle. This is definitely not a "consumer replaceable" type product.

Makes my razer operate like it did when new. Easy to install if you can use a soldering gun.
