This camcorder is great for beginners. It's very light weight and compact and fits easily in a pocket. Super easy to use, it has both video recording and photo modes, video and image quality is good for an amateur and you get what you pay for. It has a rechargeable battery and works for about 2 hours per full charge in continuous recording mode. In addition, SD card is not included, you have to buy a memory card separate (can use up to a 32gb) . Overall, this is a great starter camera and one of the ideal gifts for kids.

I bought this item as a gift for my 8-year old daughter. She has learned to use the camera to take very good quality videos. I love how compact the camera is, and how easily it fits in her hand. I have purchased a flexible tripod (universal) so she can use with the camera, but haven't had a chance to un-box it.

We did not get to use the camera so I can’t leave a review regarding the use. But I purchased this camera for my daughter for Christmas. She opened it Christmas Day to set up and we put the battery in per instructions and connected the charger per instructions. Instructions said the light will turn blue as it’s charging and could take up to 8 hours. The light was red, not blue, but I figured while it was charging it would be red. Left the camera plugged in for the full day and 8 hours later go back and the light is still red and the camera will not turn on. Tried a few different times with different chargers on different outlets and same results. Tried to buy just a battery and used the item description to order the battery. Whatever battery specs they have listed in the item description is not the same battery that the camera needs. I ended up just returning the camera and the batteries and will purchase some thing else at this point.

My cousin was wanting a video camera to be able to record vlog like videos. With him being young and starting out I wanted to get something easy for him to learn and use and at the same time inexpensive so if anything happens to it that it wouldn't be a big deal to replace. He loves it and it does what he wants so I consider that a win!

The information in the heading of this header is wrong. This is NOT a Mini DV camera.It is a miniature camcorder which is NOT the same thing. Mini DV cameras use Mini DV tapes. This is just a small camera NOT a Mini DV camera. I have a ton of footage on Mini DV and my last camera started to malfunction. The problem is you can only watch Mini DV tapes on a Mini DV camcorder (you can watch it on TV but you have to play it through the camcorder) or else you have to buy a Mini DV deck which is upwards of $2000-$5000.You can download the tapes to your computer and burn them to a DVD or upload them to the internet, but you HAVE TO HAVE something that plays Mini DV tapes. That's why I ordered this camera. I already have 900 tapes in a crate and I have no way to access the footage and download it to digital unless I have a Mini DV camcorder. I cannot buy a $2000+ DV deck. I am so furious with that misleading title.If you're looking for a small camcorder buyer beware. If you're looking for a Mini DV camera, this is NOT a Mini DV camera.

Bought this for my trip coming up and bought the SD card and it wouldn’t work so I bought another thinking maybe the brand wasn’t right still didn’t work. Not happy I have to spend extra money just for it to work
